"Empire Soldiers" - Brain Damage meets Vibronics in Commemoration

Came across this interesting musical collaboration on youtube. What an amazing project and bringing the story of the Unremembered Anglo-Caribbean and Franco-African soldiers to a new generation...


In 2013 Vibronics & Brain Damage decided to come together; with guest poets, historians and musicians from the Senegal, Morocco, Pakistan and the Caribbean; around a concept of commemoration to evoke the experience of Anglo-Caribbean and Franco-African soldiers’ during the first world war.


The collaboration ended with a 2 CD album, 48 tour dates including 8 festivals: the Dour Festival, the Reggae Geel, the Télérama Dub Festival, the UNOD Weekender, the Fusion Festival, the Riddim Collision Festival, the Seasplash Festival and the Mundial Festival.
